Executive Summary
Samsung and International Youth Foundation Forge Partnership to Address Unemployment, Promote Development for Young People. Triple Trust Organisation wins contract to pilot the Real Dreams Programme in South Africa.
The challenge
Samsung believes in the dreams of our youth and is playing a critical role in this initiative to ensure these dreams become a reality. For this reason they have joined forces with the International Youth Foundation to launch the Samsung Real Dreams project in South Africa, starting in the Western Cape and later targeting the rest of the country. South Africa’s unemployment rate is nearly 25.6% and is increasing as the global economy continues to crash.
The solution
Mind Magic Consulting has been selected by Triple Trust organisation to assist with the selection and the training 200 of these candidates.
The outcome
They will graduate later this month and then receive 5 weeks of industry specific experience. Students are also trained in communication, assertiveness, perseverance and personal development which will ultimately help them in sustaining their jobs long term and work towards success.
Samsung and the IYF will celebrate the Triple Trust Initiative with the students on Wednesday, 15th of July, and so-doing, enter a new era of community development in South Africa.
