Samsung Real Dreams: Bringing Dreams closer to the communities
Samsung believes in the dreams of our youth and is playing a critical role in this initiative to ensure these dreams become a reality. For this reason they have joined forces with the International Youth Foundation to launch the Samsung Real Dreams project in South Africa, starting in the Western Cape and later targeting the rest of the country. South Africa’s unemployment rate is nearly 25.6% and is increasing as the global economy continues to crash.

With some staff members from the Department integrated into SASSA it became quickly apparent that new mindsets and focus would be required to enable them to make this fundamental change possible.
The challenge faced by these supervisors was how to motivate their staff so that they work as a team. They were faced with taking on an added workload because staff members were not pulling their weight. They needed to learn the fundamentals of management as well as the art of delegating and problem-solving.
The creditors clerks had formed cliques and as a result were a divided workforce. Management's goal was to optimise the efforts of each clerk and thereby improve the team's productivity.
